Purpose: 

The Quality Analyst II is responsible for establishing and maintaining quality assurance standards and measures in accordance with UNFI. A QA II defines and scripts testing needs, uses complex manual testing methods to drive quality at the enterprise level, gathers and analyzes test data, and understands agile and waterfall testing concepts. A successful QA II pushes to learn and implement new testing technologies to deliver the peak quality against highly complex business solutions. A QA II will provide guidance, training, leadership and coaching to the junior members of the team.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Defines, authors, and executes testing on new and existing applications, products and/or enhancements
  • Uses no/low code test automation tools to automate UI testing
  • Follows quality engineering standards and processes to delivery peak quality across new and existing applications, products and/or enhancements
  • Works with others to communicates test progress, test results, and other relevant information to project stakeholders and management
  • Provides input and guidance on quality engineering best practices, processes, and tooling
  • Cultivates and disseminates knowledge of quality engineering best practices across the organization
  • Provides guidance, training, leadership and coaching to the junior members of the team.


Job Requirements:

Education/ Certifications/or Equivalent combination of education training and experience:

Bachelor's degree and/or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent and/or related work experience

Experience:

  • 7 years’ experience in leading the design, development, and execution of quality assurance artifacts such as test strategy, test design, test cases, and test matrix
  • 2 years direct experience as a lead tester for major application integration and/or major application product releases

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Possess extensive knowledge testing in complex, highly integrated application environments with varying degrees of legacy and modern applications
  • Proven experience testing Enterprise applications like SAP, Manhattan Warehouse a plus but not required
  • Skilled in creating and communicating test design, strategy, and testing outcomes
  • Ability to define and drive quality assurance and engineering best practices and standards
  • Applied understanding of waterfall, hybrid and agile testing practices and concepts
  • Deep experience of proper exploratory testing concepts and best practices
  • Experience using no/low code test automation tools such as AccelQ, Tosca or Leapwork a plus
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

Compensation:


UNFI anticipates paying the above-referenced pay rate (or within the above-referenced pay range) for this position.  Actual Pay, where applicable, will depend on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, education, experience, training, and any requirements under applicable collective bargaining agreements.  UNFI is committed to transparency in pay in compliance with applicable state and local laws.

Sales Positions Only:  For sales positions that are commission-based, the above range is an estimate of total potential commission-based compensation during an associate’s first year, but UNFI offers an introductory period minimum of $1,000 per week.  After the introductory period, as a 100% commission-based role, there is no set salary.  UNFI’s commission plans are uncapped and average earnings vary depending on territory and sales achieved, among other factors.
