Quality Assurance Analyst I

Job Overview: 

Responsible for establishing and maintaining quality assurance standards and measures. Analyze and test software through all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle, including functional testing, regression/integration testing. Develop test cases/scenarios and detailed test plans that cover all software requirements. Applies proven analytical and problem-solving skills to help validate IT processes in order to maximize the benefit of business investments in IT initiatives.

Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities: 

· Performs tests on new and existing applications, products and/or enhancements to existing applications though out their development

· Maintains quality assurance measures and testing standards for new applications, products, and/or enhancements to existing applications throughout their development/product lifecycles.

· Verifies and revise quality assurance standards as needed.

· Communicates test progress, test results, and other relevant information to project stakeholders and management.

· Cultivates and disseminates knowledge of quality assurance best practices.

· Prepares and implements the creation and revision of department standard operating procedures.

 · Establishes, communicates, and maintains documentation standards, and provide training where required.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field


· Minimum 2+ years’ experience in Software testing

· Experience writing test cases/scenarios and test plans

· Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle · Experience in deploying QA best practices, policies, procedures, and processes


· Strong knowledge of system testing best practices and methodologies

 · General working knowledge of company systems and development platforms.

· Exposure to project-based work structures


· Work closely with the software development team (Developers, Business Analysts, and Project Management) on software systems and applications across multiple projects to achieve corporate objectives

· Must be able to write test plans, test cases/scenarios

· Ability to communicate and interact efficiently and effectively in verbal and written formats with technical and nontechnical individuals and groups

· Ability to handle and complete multiple projects, work in a fast-paced environment, and meet deadlines

· Ability to work with minimal supervision

· Maintain data standards

· Support, maintain and document software functionality

· Ability to handle confidential information and materials appropriately · Ability to work with other QA team members
