Job Overview:

The National Supplier Relationship Manager, ClearVue is the primary point of contact, within UNFInationally, for a supplier doing business with UNFI or its customers. This position is responsible for the development, management and execution of existing and new brands part of the ClearVue partnership programs via the UNFI supply chain structure. Position is also responsible for the collection and execution of all required supplier agreements, documents and marketing strategies with any supplier doing business with UNFI. Functions as a supply chain professional with primary responsibility to the management of specific suppliers and their products on a national scale where a single point of contact is the standard operating procedure in the management of suppliers. Develops and executes sales and purchasing plans and programs designed to maximize the coordination with marketing, purchasing, sales and operations.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage and/or Identify and research current and potential ClearVue and Incentive suppliers
  • Negotiate ClearVue and Incentive Contracts
  • Serve as internal expert on the UNFI ClearVue Program including monitoring products, trends, consumer behavior, and marketing and merchandising strategies.
  • Assumes responsibility for development and implementation of ClearVue marketing strategies and policies.
  • Educates internal and external partners on features and benefits of the ClearVue Program.
  • Researches, analyzes and responds to business conditions that affect ClearVue Suppliers and marketing strategy.
  • Evaluates and monitors the satisfaction level of Suppliers participating in the ClearVue Program.
  • Ensures effective ongoing communication with Suppliers to maintain high level of customer retention.
  • Oversees, in coordination with other UNFI supply chain managers, short and long-term strategic supplier sourcing and selection, supplier on boarding execution, and development of protocols
  • specific to enhancing suppliers’ ability to be a profitable and successful supplier to UNFI
  • Consults with IT on any technical data issues incurred with the programs and facilitates necessary changes.
  • Identifies suppliers for product and sales penetration opportunities. Networks with industry
  • leaders and builds relationships to facilitate expanded sales opportunities.
  • Regularly reviews SKU mix independently, and with cooperation of suppliers, to ensure UNFI distribution centers stock the necessary items required within the marketplace.
  • Negotiates and executes supplier agreements and implements policies in accordance with company guidelines.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent experience and training.
  • A minimum of five years of related progressive marketing, supply chain or brand management
  • experience in natural food industry preferred
  • Thorough understanding of Company products, services, and competitors’ product lines. Understanding of market research techniques and models.
  • Strong knowledge of statistics and related computer applications and financial and market indicators. Strong project management skills.
  • Solid leadership abilities.
  • Organizational and analytical skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft office products and Adobe Acrobat.
