Our Mission:

Our UNFI Sturtevant Distribution Center is looking for experienced cherry picker/order pickers for Overnight Shift Hours to keep America stocked with natural and organic foods for the grocery stores and supermarkets! Our retailers range from small family owned stores to Whole Foods Market and everything in between. We are seeking individuals with warehouse experience ready to show their passion for equipment operating and helping nourish families across America.

Compensation:

  • $21.25/HR + Incentives + Differentials
  • $2.00 for Weekend
  • $2.00 for Freezer
  • $1.25 for 2nd shift

Schedule:     

  • Multiple schedules available **One weekend day required**

 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:  

  • Inspects assigned lift and completes vehicle inspection sheet.
  • Replenishes pick slots using the view request screen. If no requests exist, uses the manual replenish screen to fill empty or almost empty slots.
  • Performs knockdowns for selectors when needed.
  • Maintains correct counts and logs any discrepancies in inventory.
  • Verifies that the correct product is being put in the appropriate pick location.
  • Cuts and removes shrink wrap from all knockdowns.
  • Removes all empty pallets from pick locations and aisles.
  • Operates the lift in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Parks and recharges lift in its appropriate spot at the end of the shift.
  • Immediately informs a lead, supervisor, or manager of any potential safety violations or violation of company policy.
  • Perform duties in accordance with Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) policies and procedures, as appropriate for location

 PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS:       

  • Balancing: May involve walking, standing and/or crouching on narrow, slippery or moving surfaces
  • Stooping: Bending downward and forward at the waist. Requires full use of lower extremities and back muscles.
  • Standing: For extended time periods.
  • Working Conditions: Worker subject to changing inside temperature (such as freezers or cold rooms)

Sales Positions Only: For sales positions that are commission-based, the above range is an estimate of total potential commission-based compensation during an associate’s first year, but UNFI offers an introductory period minimum of $680 per week. After the introductory period, as a 100% commission-based role, there is no set salary. UNFI’s commission plans are uncapped and average earnings vary depending on territory and sales achieved, among other factors.
