PURPOSE: 

The Learning and Development Analyst is responsible for the development, deployment, and evaluation of learning technology applications as well as materials that support them. This role will be a champion for learning and development for our business and will work closely with key business leaders and subject matter experts to deploy all UNFI’s associate-facing compliance training, regional business training, learning and leadership development content through BetterU. UNFI’s learning management system (LMS). The Learning and Development Analyst will ensure associates have access to a wide variety of third-party and custom training and learning content to grow their competencies and develop stronger capabilities to drive business results.

JOB RESONSIBILITES: 

  • Assists in the design and creation of UNFI’s learning technology solutions (including strategic approach and configuration of BetterU hosted by SAP Success Factors, UNFI’s learning management system (LMS).
  • Oversees and administers the daily operations of UNFI’s learning technology solutions, including: BetterU.
  • Creates and executes processes related to learning technologies to ensure users have appropriate access and/or rights to system functionality and programs (this includes the creation and design of multi-level administrator access as well as training and on-going roster maintenance).
  • Navigates, develops, and maintains strong working relationships with business leaders throughout the organization to promote the use and understanding of learning technologies.
  • Provides consultative and advisory services to business leaders on best practices for purchasing, constructing, and deploying compliance policy training, general training, and learning content to UNFI associates.
  • Assists in the gathering, analysis, documentation, and validation of business and/or technical requirements that are needed to translate these into requirements for deployment on BetterU.
  • Creates test plans and executes application functionality testing (user acceptance testing) and pilots for all compliance policy training, general training and learning initiatives across the enterprise.
  • Loads, tests, edits, and maintains all compliance policy training, general training and learning content in BetterU.
  • Designs, facilitates, and executes training of learning technology applications to end users.
  • Creates, sets-up and maintains record of all online assessments, surveys, and electronic acknowledgements housed within learning technologies.
  • Manages multiple projects in the conception, design, development, deployment, maintenance, and evaluation of learning solutions to meet multiple deadlines.
  • Maintain system and application documentation as well as compliance policy training and general training content in an organized and methodical way.
  • Frequently partners with People & Change colleagues to support enterprise leadership development programming and content curation, talent development initiatives and other special projects.
  • Responsible for all enterprise-level compliance policy training, general training and learning reporting as well as data analysis emerging from UNFI’s learning technology solutions.
  • Maintains, purges, edits, and monitors all content in the LMS to maintain relativity (freshness) and imports new content as needed.
  • Maintains vendor relationships with content providers, such as LinkedIn Learning and HarvardManage Mentor, to stay abreast of new content, new company learning needs, marketing strategies around new content and business adoption.
  • Acts as subject matter expert and strategic partner in evaluating and selecting new and/or changing content and/or content vendors.
  • Maintains vendor relationships with technology vendor(s) to stay abreast of product releases, relevant seminars, and potential problem and or solutions to issues.
  • Continuously promotes the use of our in-house learning technology solution as a “one-stop” record retention for training records.
  • Problem-solves and resolves tickets that are escalated from the IT Service Desk around learning technologies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education/ Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent working experience.

Experience:

  • 4+ years of experience in human resources, learning and development, talent management or a related role.
  • Experience designing and configuring enterprise learning technology systems and applications for a large organization (15,000+ associates) strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning best practices, modern classroom, online and eLearning (as well as the technical requirements for online and eLearning creation and deployment via an LMS).
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills (SAP SuccessFactors experience is a plus).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with emphasis on attention-to-detail, business partnerships and workplace collaboration.
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks, manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and work independently under minimal supervision.

Other Skills/ Abilities:

  • Prior administration experience of an enterprise learning management system (LMS) required (prior experience with SAP SuccessFactors preferred).
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Experience with innovative learning technologies (virtual training, virtual reality, learning gamification).

PHYSICAL ENVIORNMENT/DEMANDS: 

  • Travel requirement: approximately 10%.
  • Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment.
  • Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at desk or computer terminal.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
  • Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephone, and other office equipment during normal workday.
  • Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in completion of job duties.

Solamente puestos de Ventas: en el caso de los puestos de ventas con base en comisiones, el rango mencionado representa un estimado de la compensación potencial por comisiones durante el primer año de un asociado; pero UNFI ofrece un mínimo de $680 a la semana para el periodo inicial. Después del periodo inicial, por tratarse de un puesto basado totalmente en comisiones, no hay un salario fijo. Los planes de comisiones de UNFI no tienen tope y las ganancias promedio dependen del territorio y de las ventas logradas, entre otros factores.
