Purpose:
The Senior Transportation Logistics Analyst is responsible for analyzing business requirements and supply chain data to develop strategic insights that improve performance and efficiency. This role focuses on customer-specific logistics
solutions, network modeling and simulation, system-enabled processes, and action-oriented KPI reporting. The analyst partners across functions to support decision-making and guide strategies related to distribution assets and inventory
investments. As part of the analytics team, the role contributes to transportation network design, cost modeling, and data-driven delivery processes. The position also works closely with senior leadership to provide recommendations that drive supply chain optimization and cost-saving efficiencies.
Job Responsibilities:
- Facilitate cross-functional sessions with routing teams, operations stakeholders, and senior leadership to document business requirements and develop user acceptance test cases for the RoadNet RTS upgrade to the RoadNet Anywhere (RNA) application.
- Develop and manage user acceptance test plans in partnership with the IT Quality Assurance team; oversee execution of test cases and ensure resolution of failed cases through successful completion.
- Prepare routing users for the RTS-to-RNA upgrade by creating training materials, delivering train-the-trainer sessions, and establishing readiness milestones to support deployment go-live.
- Conduct routing analytics using RoadNet RNA Strategic Planner to identify cost-saving opportunities through improved route planning.
- Support the development and presentation of transportation proformas for screening reviews.
- Analyze historical data to generate recommendations for operational efficiencies.
- Build and maintain analytical models using Excel, Llamasoft, and Alteryx.
- Simulate customer moves, distribution center placement, and inventory investments to inform strategic decisions.
- Contribute to the development of transportation process and technology roadmaps.
- Create and maintain SOPs and best practice documentation to standardize processes.
- Utilize KPIs to monitor performance, identify trends, and recommend actions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, logistics or related field preferred
Experience:
- 5+ years of related experience
- Experience with large-scope technology projects
- Wholesale logistics or supply chain experience strongly preferred
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Deep understanding of RoadNet RNA routing application required
- Familiarity with data management and reporting concepts
- Expertise in the development and/or use of transportation network modeling
- Proficiency in the analysis of data and the development of strategic recommendations
- Knowledge of transportation logistics for retail or grocery wholesale
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Demonstrated customer focus with excellent public relations and interpersonal abilities
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey executive presence
- Proven ability to influence and drive decisions through data analysis and insights
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
- Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available.

Sales Positions Only: For sales positions that are commission-based, the above range is an estimate of total potential commission-based compensation during an associate’s first year, but UNFI offers an introductory period minimum of $680 per week. After the introductory period, as a 100% commission-based role, there is no set salary. UNFI’s commission plans are uncapped and average earnings vary depending on territory and sales achieved, among other factors.
