Our facility in Lancaster is hiring for a full-time, motivated Warehouse Coordinator.

What does it mean to be a part of our Warehouse Coordinator team? 

A Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the warehouse by ensuring that inventory is properly received, stored, and distributed. This role involves coordinating various warehouse activities, including shipping, receiving, and stock management, to ensure smooth and efficient operations. This role works closely with warehouse staff and management to ensure that operational goals are met while maintaining accuracy, safety, and compliance with company policies.  Our supply chain at UNFI is focused on providing superior service, quality and efficiency, improving every day to meet our customers’ unique needs. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Preparing receiving paperwork and shipping paperwork for product
  • Preparing labels and tags for selection of Tony's Fine Foods
  • Preparing store invoices and billing of store deliveries

  • Monitoring trip leave times 
  • Verifies out of stock and closes routes for invoicing

  • Providing customer service assistance to customers, drivers, and vendors
  • Reports any inventory issues to direct supervisor
  • General clerical duties.  This is an energetic position that will require standing and walking among different workstations.

  • Attends work regularly and on time as scheduled and maintains an acceptable attendance level.

  • Plans and prioritizes workload to ensure that department needs are met as well as the overall organizational needs of the company.

  • Follows instructions promptly and efficiently, taking initiative when appropriate.

  • Operates within defined company policies, procedures, and the Code of Conduct.

  • Responds promptly to e-mails and telephone calls, demonstrating consideration and courtesy.

  • Communicates frequently with supervisor to alert the status of on-going operations pertaining to the incumbent's area of responsibility.

  • Performs various Logistic Department related functions and assignments in an accurate and timely manner, as required by the circumstances and/or by the supervisor.

  • Assists other department personnel in the performance of work activities when peak workload required during absences of facility personnel.

  • Treats others with respect.

  • Adheres to safe work procedures.

  • Communicates in a professional, business-like manner.

Qualifications

Education/Work History:

  • 10 key skills
  • Ability to work in fast paced, warehouse environment
  • Ability to work independently with limited direction
  • Detail oriented
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office – specifically Excel
  • Prior warehouse clerical experience preferred

    Job Skills

Excellent human relations skills required. Planning and organizational skills required. Knowledge of warehousing functions required. Understanding of warehouse equipment operations and safety issues.

Physical Requirements

Mobility required throughout and around facility. Frequent use of Phone and Computer. Frequent walking and standing. Lifting to 35 pounds.

UNFI anticipates paying the above-referenced pay rate (or within the above-referenced pay range) for this position. Actual Pay, where applicable, will depend on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, education, experience, training, and any requirements under applicable collective bargaining agreements. Sales Positions Only: For sales positions that are commission-based, the above range is an estimate of total potential commission-based compensation during an associate’s first year, but UNFI offers an introductory period minimum of $680 per week. After the introductory period, as a 100% commission-based role, there is no set salary. UNFI’s commission plans are uncapped and average earnings vary depending on territory and sales achieved, among other factors.
