PURPOSE:
Responsible for the prompt minor repairs and ongoing preventative maintenance of material handling equipment.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
· Education/ Certifications/or Equivalent combination of education training and experience:
· High School Diploma/GED and/or equivalent related experience
· 2-3 years of technical maintenance or related experience/training; or equivalent combination of education, experience and training
Experience:
· 1-2 years of on-the-job experience with electronics and mechanical equipment
· Machining and fabrication experience helpful
Job Responsibilities Percentage:
· Provide recommendations to repair or replace poorly functioning equipment 10%
· Efficiently prioritizes repair schedule to ensure an uninterrupted production schedule 10%
· Troubleshoot equipment problems to include brake, electrical and hydraulic systems, detect imperfections, potential problems, safety issues and/or malfunctions. 10%
· Provide improvements required to ensure compliance to safety regulations to DC and safety team 10%
· Ensure that department is appropriately stocked with part and tools needed to perform their job 10%
· Undertakes actions such as lubrication, cleaning, filter changes, etc, on equipment for preventive maintenance purposes 10%
· Replace broken or defective parts from stock parts and/or order replacement parts for major repairs 10%
· Modifies and tests equipment to improve systems uptime and reliability 10%
· Updates and reviews daily maintenance logs 10%
· Follows all safety policies and procedures strictly 10%

Sales Positions Only: For sales positions that are commission-based, the above range is an estimate of total potential commission-based compensation during an associate’s first year, but UNFI offers an introductory period minimum of $680 per week. After the introductory period, as a 100% commission-based role, there is no set salary. UNFI’s commission plans are uncapped and average earnings vary depending on territory and sales achieved, among other factors.
