Purpose:
The Talent Acquisition Partner will develop recruiting strategies and implement for their assigned positions. Primary responsibilities include developing and executing specific sourcing strategies to meet short and long-term goals within assigned functions. This position is responsible to build relationships with internal hiring managers, field and corporate-based Human Resource team members including National Recruiting, as well as industry contacts and sourcing contacts.
Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Oversee full lifecycle recruitment and placement activities for roles across the company.
- Establish recruiting sources with outside organizations, colleges, technical schools, etc. as needed to fill positions.
- Strong partnerships with other stakeholders to lead the recruitment process and own the candidate and hiring manager experience.
- Partners closely with corporate HR teams and hiring managers to fill open positions.
- Delivers a high level of customer service to both internal and external hiring managers and candidates.
- Posts positions both internally and externally following company practices and policies.
- Owns candidate follow-up from screen to onboarding
- Understandings details of the specific roles (e.g. Compensation, benefits, etc.) essential to effective recruitment
- Measures source effectiveness and develop actions for specific recruiting improvements
- Knowing the direct competitors in the market and job opportunities available, to maintain competitiveness within our positions and provide solid recommendations.
- Able to maintain ownership of the hiring process and strategically lead the recruitment
- Interfaces with all levels of leadership throughout the company regarding hiring needs or any other employment-related activities.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports as needed.
- Tracks staffing levels and helps to develop a proactive staffing plan and strategy for each opening.
Job Requirements:
Education/Certifications: (Required & Preferred):
- High School Diploma with commensurate recruiting experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business/Human Resources or related field strongly preferred.
Experience:
- 3+ years of recruiting experience for related corporate functions required.
- Competency based interviewing
- Experience using an applicant tracking system. Taleo, preferred.
- Strategic sourcing experience preferred.
Knowledge:
- Proficiency in Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel required.
- Broad knowledge of corporate functional roles as well as sales-based roles.
Skills/Abilities:
- Strong sourcing skills via LinkedIn, Indeed, and other talent resources.
- Able to think creatively and without hesitation on hard to fill roles.
- Detail, process, and metric/results oriented
- Self-motivated, goal oriented, team player, customer service focused
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to develop and maintain effective business relationships within and outside of the organization.
- Strong sales and negotiating experience
- Good interpersonal skills sufficient to convey and receive information on a one-on-one basis and ability to appropriately handle confidential situations.
- Ability to identify and establish applicant sources to successfully fill openings at the least possible cost to the company.
- Understanding of Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action legislation and other legal aspects of interviewing and hiring.
- Knowledge of the fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of recruiting/selection for various positions.
- Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available.
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT/ DEMANDS:
- This position is classified as remote where the associate will perform remote work from their primary residence. Remote associates are welcome to work from the office but are not required to do so. While remote associates are not required to work from an office on a regular basis, they may be required to come to the office or other UNFI locations for necessary business reasons or if directed to do so by their manager.
- Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment.
- Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at desk or computer terminal.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
- Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephone and other office equipment in the course of normal workday.
- Stooping, bending, twisting and reaching may be required in completion of job duties.

Compensation:
UNFI anticipates paying the above-referenced pay rate (or within the above-referenced pay range) for this position. Actual Pay, where applicable, will depend on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, education, experience, training, and any requirements under applicable collective bargaining agreements. Sales Positions Only: For sales positions that are commission-based, the above range is an estimate of total potential commission-based compensation during an associate’s first year, but UNFI offers an introductory period minimum of $680 per week. After the introductory period, as a 100% commission-based role, there is no set salary. UNFI’s commission plans are uncapped and average earnings vary depending on territory and sales achieved, among other factors.
