Job Overview: The Mgr IT Solutions Mulesoft is responsible for leading the design, development, and maintaining integration solutions using the MuleSoft AnyPoint Platform as a part of the Integrations Technology team. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, build APIs and connectors, and ensure seamless data flow between various systems.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead MuleSoft Enablement Strategy: Partner with the Sr. Director of Integrations to define and execute the roadmap for MuleSoft adoption across enterprise technology teams and leads hands-on development and design.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a liaison between the integration teams, application owners, and enterprise architects to ensure alignment on API-led connectivity and reusable integration patterns by understanding business requirements and system capabilities.
  • Governance & Standards Development: Establish and enforce best practices, governance models, and reusable frameworks for MuleSoft development and deployment.
  • Technical Oversight: Provide hands-on guidance and oversight for MuleSoft architecture, including API design, security, scalability, and performance optimization.
  • Training & Change Management: Drive enablement efforts through workshops, documentation, and mentoring to upskill teams on MuleSoft capabilities and integration principles.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership & Coaching: Mentors and leads teams through career development and skill development.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Education/Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline or a combination of relevant IT experience and education.

Experience:

  • 8+ years of relevant Technology experience required.
  • Lead end-to-end integration initiatives using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
  • Define and manage the enterprise integration strategy, architecture, and roadmap.
  • Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to gather integration requirements.
  • 8+ years’ experience in leading and advising on process flow diagrams, data models, test plans, technical design documents, and business process documentation.
  • 3–5 years’ experience in developing experience in MuleSoft, including Integration experience in Design and Architecture, building integration projects using MuleESB, Mule API and Mule Cloud Hub in Anypoint platform.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot integration issues as needed.
  • Work with project managers to plan and execute integration projects on time and within budget.
  • Stay updated with MuleSoft product developments and industry trends.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and regulatory standards.
  • Experience in leading contingent workforce.
  • Experience working in a matrixed environment that manages multiple priorities.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Deep understanding of MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
  • Knowledge in enterprise integration patterns, microservices architecture and cloud native technologies.
  • Awareness of data governance, security protocols, and compliance standards in integration context.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Communication skills that include facilitating skills across technical and non-technical audience.
  • Design skills in API, data flows, and integration logic.
  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, SOAP, RAML, JSON, XML, and related integration technologies.
  • Experience in managing full lifecycle API and integration projects.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools related to MuleSoft deployments (CI/CD pipelines).
  • Knowledge of security protocols such as OAuth2, SAML, and TLS.
  • Mentorship and coaching skills.
  • Technical translation skills.
  • Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available.

Work Environment:

Remote Role: This position is classified as remote where the associate will perform remote work from their primary residence. Remote associates are welcome to work from the office but are not required to do so. While remote associates are not required to work from an office on a regular basis, they may be required to come to the office or other UNFI locations for necessary business reasons or if directed to do so by their manager.

UNFI anticipates paying the above-referenced pay rate (or within the above-referenced pay range) for this position. Actual Pay, where applicable, will depend on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, education, experience, training, and any requirements under applicable collective bargaining agreements. Sales Positions Only: For sales positions that are commission-based, the above range is an estimate of total potential commission-based compensation during an associate’s first year, but UNFI offers an introductory period minimum of $680 per week. After the introductory period, as a 100% commission-based role, there is no set salary. UNFI’s commission plans are uncapped and average earnings vary depending on territory and sales achieved, among other factors.
