Cub with headquarters in Stillwater is looking for a dedicated individual to fill a Full Time Operations Sales Specialist – Customer Service role! As Ops Specialist you will monitor, enforce, and support execution of the division merchandising plan for the department at assigned stores, including train department managers, and ensure Banner Merchandising plans and standards are being implemented.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Travel to assigned stores working with the Department Manager and staff to see that merchandising plans and standards are meant to achieve sales, gross and labor targets.
  • Work with and counsel department Managers and Store Directors in all aspects of product merchandising and customer service.
  • Develop and maintains training programs that will ensure the availability of qualified associates to fill respective departments’ positions in the company.
  • Participate in departmental and divisional sales meetings.
  • Oversee departmental sales, labor and gross profit reporting from assigned stores.
  • Implement new merchandising programs and strategies and makes sure department staff is properly trained.
  • Monitor competitor activities and communicates back to Merchandising
  • Assist in opening new and remodeled stores.
  • Measurer store level performance through department sales, gross profit and labor percent.
  • Execute plans measured through store visits, reviewing results of plans, and observing store department conditions.
  • Determine success of training programs by reviewing and assessing evaluations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business preferred.

  • Able to stand for long periods of time.

  •  Memorization, reading, writing and math.

  • The position requires on-going customer interaction, providing prompt, courteous and accurate service.

  • Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available.

  • Have the ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions; write identifying information; request supplies verbally or in writing.

  • Must be able to work shifts varying in length and time, including nights, weekends and holidays.


Physical Requirements:

  • Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.  

  • Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephones, and other office equipment during a normal workday.

  •  Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in the completion of job duties.

  • Travel is required up to 80% for this position.

Sales Positions Only: For sales positions that are commission-based, the above range is an estimate of total potential commission-based compensation during an associate’s first year, but UNFI offers an introductory period minimum of $680 per week. After the introductory period, as a 100% commission-based role, there is no set salary. UNFI’s commission plans are uncapped and average earnings vary depending on territory and sales achieved, among other factors.
