Job Overview:
Responsible for the management and execution of a wide range of projects and activities as it relates to Supplier Merchandising that includes, but not limited to: supplier service level governance, managing critical reporting, and providing actionable insights and trends for leadership. This role ensures operational efficiency through proactive analysis, supplier engagement, and strategic recommendations that support gross margin targets and category recovery initiatives. The role coordinates cross-functional inputs, feedback and consolidated executive ready materials. Establishes professional working relationships with internal and external customers in order to provide insights, guidance, and support to drive retained income and an enhanced Supplier experience.
Job Responsibilities:
• Restricted order quantity management on allocation items, run analysis for weekly adjustments, send updates for processing, collect SRM feedback, distribute report weekly
• Daily reporting to leadership of priority stop ship suppliers and tariff/cost increases impacts
• Prepare detail out of stock reports, solicit feedback on root cause, action and recovery, prepare insights for customers on future guidance and brand alternatives
• No Call No Show/Missed Appointment and Late and Unappointed solicit SRM/supplier feedback to minimize service level impacts
• Archive all Critical Service Level related reports on the Sales SharePoint site, organize and update files, send weekly distribution to Sales leaders.
• Prepare customer specific sales presentations on future cost impacts, and service related impacts
Inactive Supplier Clean Up
• Identify suppliers with low/no activity collaborate with the SRMs to properly shut down the suppliers following the SOP to ensure all inventory and debit balances are resolved
Supplier Help Desk
• Maintain helpdesk alias and inbound communications, direct to the appropriate resolver, maintain activity log to build out a robust directory guide for future automation of helpdesk
Special Projects
• Incentive Buy – assist the I-buy team during peak traffic months, run analysis, execution follow ups
• Team metrics – assists with preparing monthly team metrics (charts/graphs) in power point. Adds insights on budget to actual highlights
• Establishes and manages analytical insights associated with work tasks – promotional effectiveness, accuracy, timeliness, revenue performance, etc. Conducts research and analysis of competitive conditions, customer needs, and market trends
• Manages and tracks projects to ensure on-time and accurate delivery of agreed upon metrics/deliverables.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Education/ Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or equivalent of work-related experience.
Experience:
1 or more years’ experience in office environment within a related field.
Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities:
Analytical & Problem-Solving: Ability to interpret large amounts of data, perform trend/root-cause analysis, and provide decision support.
Technical Proficiency: Advanced Excel, data visualization tools (Power BI/Tableau), Power Point, Sales SharePoint management, and familiarity with Host business systems.
Communication & Influence: Strong written and verbal skills for executive reporting, accuracy in approach, and cross-functional coordination and influence.
Project & Process Management: Governance discipline, risk mitigation, and ability to lead special projects.
Knowledge Management: Organize and maintain content archives, ensure timely and accurate information distribution.
Work Environment: Remote Role:
This position is classified as remote where the associate will perform remote work from their primary residence. Remote associates are welcome to work from the office but are not required to do so. While remote associates are not required to work from an office on a regular basis, they may be required to come to the office or other UNFI locations for necessary business reasons or if directed to do so by their manager.
Travel (minor): This position may require the associate to travel to company offices, distribution centers, or other locations for specific meetings or other business reasons.

Compensation:
UNFI anticipates paying the above-referenced pay rate (or within the above-referenced pay range) for this position. Actual Pay, where applicable, will depend on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, education, experience, training, and any requirements under applicable collective bargaining agreements. Sales Positions Only: For sales positions that are commission-based, the above range is an estimate of total potential commission-based compensation during an associate’s first year, but UNFI offers an introductory period minimum of $680 per week. After the introductory period, as a 100% commission-based role, there is no set salary. UNFI’s commission plans are uncapped and average earnings vary depending on territory and sales achieved, among other factors.
