Job Overview:
The Senior Director – AI, Analytics & Digital Engagement provides enterprise leadership for AI, Intelligent Automation, Process Intelligence, Advanced Analytics, Digital Solutions and Professional Services adoption by deeply partnering with business leaders to identify, prioritize, and realize transformational use cases. This role owns business alignment, value realization, and adoption at scale, ensuring that intelligent automation initiatives are tightly connected to business outcomes and measurable ROI.
This role partners with senior business, technology, and data leaders to identify high‑value transformational opportunities, prioritize and govern the enterprise use‑case portfolio, and ensure measurable business outcomes. The Senior Director leads a multi‑disciplinary team including AI strategy, automation engagement, and technical delivery leaders to accelerate adoption, scale impact, and build a durable operating model for AI and digital innovation.
Job Responsibilities:
Core Responsibilities
Enterprise Strategy & Leadership

Serve as the leader for AI, advanced analytics, and intelligent automation, connecting business strategy to technical execution and value delivery.
- Define and continuously evolve the enterprise AI & Digital Engagement strategy, including use‑case portfolio management, capability roadmaps, operating model, and value measurement framework.
- Lead enterprise engagement for Digital and Professional Services, ensuring these areas are tightly aligned with business strategy, technology capabilities, and enterprise transformation priorities.
- Drive executive-level alignment, ensuring initiatives directly support enterprise goals, financial targets, and strategic priorities.
Use Case Identification & Prioritization
- Lead enterprise-wide discovery of high-impact opportunities, engaging senior business leaders to uncover transformational use cases, operational inefficiencies, productivity constraints, and automation potential.
- Own the intake, evaluation, prioritization, and governance of the AI, Automation, Analytics, Digital, and Professional Services portfolio, maintaining a healthy, value‑driven enterprise pipeline.
- Translate business priorities into actionable strategies and multi-year delivery roadmaps.
Adoption, Value Realization & Change Leadership
- Champion enterprise understanding of AI, machine learning, intelligent automation, process intelligence, and digital engagement capabilities.
- Develop and execute adoption playbooks, change management plans, and communication strategies to maximize realization of business value.
- Measure and report value, performance, and outcomes at the executive level, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Vendor, Partner & Stakeholder Management
- Own vendor engagement, including SOW/RFP creation, contract negotiations, SLA definitions, performance governance, and invoice validation.
- Build strong relationships with technology, data, security, legal, compliance, and business operations partners to ensure aligned and secure delivery.
Team Leadership & Talent Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team that includes automation engagement leaders, AI delivery leaders, and senior technical experts.
- Foster a high-performance culture centered on innovation, accountability, continuous improvement, and measurable results.

Build capability maturity across the enterprise through advisory, education, and structured enablement.

Job Requirements:
Education/ Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in management information systems, computer science, or related discipline is required
Experience:
12+ years of relevant technical and leadership experience, including enterprise operations, value chain, and end-to-end business processes (supply chain, finance, HR, customer operations)
5 + years of direct leadership and people leadership experience that includes mentoring coaching, and development and large cross-functional teams or programs
Experience with Intelligent Automation (RPA, IPA, workflow automation)
Experience in directly collaboration across business units, IT, data, security, legal and compliance teams to deliver results
Knowledge/Skills/ Abilities
Knowledgeable of enterprise governance models, policy reinforcement, security, compliance and operating controls
Talent planning and performance management skills
Negotiation and influential skills
Advanced financial acumen and translating into value creation
Advanced understanding of change management, adoption risks with ability to manage change transition
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including at the executive level

Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available.
Work Environment:Remote Role:
This position is classified as remote where the associate will perform remote work from their primary residence. Remote associates are welcome to work from the office but are not required to do so. While remote associates are not required to work from an office on a regular basis, they may be required to come to the office or other UNFI locations for necessary business reasons or if directed to do so by their manager.

Compensation:
UNFI anticipates paying the above-referenced pay rate (or within the above-referenced pay range) for this position. Sales Positions Only: For sales positions that are commission-based, the above range is an estimate of total potential commission-based compensation during an associate’s first year, but UNFI offers an introductory period minimum of $680 per week. After the introductory period, as a 100% commission-based role, there is no set salary. UNFI’s commission plans are uncapped and average earnings vary depending on territory and sales achieved, among other factors.
