This role provides high-impact administrative and operational support to the Chief Financial Officer. The ideal candidate is highly organized, anticipates needs, exercises sound judgment, and is comfortable operating in a fast-paced, confidential, and senior-facing environment.

Job Responsibilities:

Executive Support – CFO

·       Provide proactive, day-to-day administrative support to the CFO, including complex calendar management, travel coordination, expense management, and meeting preparation

·       Anticipate priorities, manage competing demands, and ensure the CFO is well-prepared for meetings, presentations, and key decision points

·       Coordinate logistics for senior leadership meetings, Board-related sessions, and external engagements

·       Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism

·       Act as a trusted liaison between the CFO and senior leaders, internal teams, and external partners

Operational & Team Support

·       Help manage key finance leadership routines (offsites, planning sessions, leadership meetings)

·       Support special projects or ad hoc initiatives as requested by the CFO or Finance leadership

·       Continuously improving administrative processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness

·       Serve as a stabilizing presence during periods of change, peak workload (e.g., earnings), or leadership transitions

·       Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Education/ Certifications:

·       Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience preferred.

Experience:

·       8+ years of experience supporting senior executives (C-suite or equivalent), preferably in a public company or complex corporate environment

·       Experience supporting Finance functions strongly preferred

Knowledge/Skills/ Abilities

·       Exceptional organizational, time-management, and prioritization skills

·       High level of professionalism, discretion, and judgment when handling confidential information

·       Strong written and verbal communication skills

·       Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word), comfort working with presentations and executive-level materials

·       Ability to operate with confidence, flexibility, and calm under pressure

·       Anticipates needs rather than reacting to them

·       Comfortable working with senior leaders and external stakeholders

·       Detail-oriented without losing sight of the bigger picture

·       Trusted, reliable, and calm during high-stakes moments (e.g., earnings, Board interactions)

·       Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available.

UNFI anticipates paying the above-referenced pay rate (or within the above-referenced pay range) for this position. Actual Pay, where applicable, will depend on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, education, experience, training, and any requirements under applicable collective bargaining agreements. Sales Positions Only: For sales positions that are commission-based, the above range is an estimate of total potential commission-based compensation during an associate’s first year, but UNFI offers an introductory period minimum of $680 per week. After the introductory period, as a 100% commission-based role, there is no set salary. UNFI’s commission plans are uncapped and average earnings vary depending on territory and sales achieved, among other factors.
