Job Overview: 
The Integrated Marketing Manager is responsible for shaping and leading integrated marketing strategies that connect UNFI’s business priorities to clear, compelling storytelling and coordinated execution across channels. This role serves as a strategic partner to cross-functional teams, translating enterprise and growth initiatives into high-impact marketing campaigns that drive relevance, engagement, and measurable outcomes.


This position blends strategic planning, campaign orchestration, and brand stewardship assuring UNFI’s marketing efforts are aligned, cohesive, and elevated across touchpoints. The Integrated Marketing Manager will also align teams on brand governance and creative quality and ensures marketing initiatives are coordinated and executed with clarity, consistency, and purpose in support of company objectives.


Job Responsibilities: 
 

  • Lead the development of integrated marketing strategies and campaign frameworks that align business goals to compelling narratives, messaging, and channel plans.
  • Translate enterprise priorities, growth initiatives, and stakeholder needs into clear marketing briefs, positioning, and activation plans.
  • Own campaign orchestration across brand, creative, digital, content, events, and communications—ensuring consistency, timing, and impact across channels.
  • Serve as brand steward and governance lead, ensuring all integrated efforts adhere to brand standards while continuously elevating quality, clarity, and design excellence.
  • Manage and mentor design/brand resources to deliver high-quality, strategically grounded creative work.
  • Partner closely with Digital, Communications, Customer Engagement, Sales Enablement, and external agencies to deliver integrated execution.
  • Define success metrics and evaluate campaign performance, using insights to optimize storytelling, channel mix, and future initiatives.
  • Own brand and campaign governance processes, including intake, prioritization, and standards enforcement.
  • Lead development of messaging frameworks, toolkits, and playbooks to support enterprise and priority initiatives.
  • Present strategies, campaign plans, and performance insights to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to modernize integrated marketing practices, including personalization, modular content, and AI-enabled workflows.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Job Requirements: 
Education/ Certifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience: 

  • 4-6 years of experience in integrated marketing, campaign strategy, or brand-led growth marketing.
  • Proven experience leading cross-channel campaigns from strategy through execution.
  • Experience managing creative or brand resources and working with agencies preferred.
  • Enterprise, B2B, retail, or complex stakeholder environment experience strongly preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/ Abilities:

  • Strong expertise in integrated marketing planning, campaign development, and storytelling.
  • Ability to connect business objectives to audience-centric narratives and activation strategies.
  • Deep understanding of brand governance balanced with modern, flexible execution.
  • Excellent strategic thinking, briefing, and prioritization skills.
  • Confident leader and collaborator with strong stakeholder influence and presentation skills.
  • Data-informed mindset with experience using insights to guide decisions and optimization.
  • Ability to operate independently, manage ambiguity, and drive work forward with minimal oversight.
  • Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available.

Work Environment: 
Remote Role: 

  • This position is classified as remote where the associate will perform remote work from their primary residence. Remote associates are welcome to work from the office but are not required to do so. While remote associates are not required to work from an office on a regular basis, they may be required to come to the office or other UNFI locations for necessary business reasons or if directed to do so by their manager.


Travel (minor): 

  • This position may require the associate to travel to company offices, distribution centers, or other locations for specific meetings or other business reasons.

  • Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at a desk or computer terminal.

  • Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephones, and other office equipment in the course of a normal workday.

Actual Pay, where applicable, will depend on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, education, experience, training, and any requirements under applicable collective bargaining agreements. Sales Positions Only: For sales positions that are commission-based, the above range is an estimate of total potential commission-based compensation during an associate’s first year, but UNFI offers an introductory period minimum of $680 per week. After the introductory period, as a 100% commission-based role, there is no set salary. UNFI’s commission plans are uncapped and average earnings vary depending on territory and sales achieved, among other factors.
