What You'll Do
As a Part-Time Order Selector, you'll play an important role in our warehouse operation. You'll safely and accurately select products for customer orders, build and wrap pallets, and prepare orders for shipment.
This is a fast-paced, physically active position that's a great fit for someone who enjoys staying active, working as part of a team, and taking pride in getting the job done right.
Key Responsibilities
- Select products from warehouse inventory to accurately complete customer orders
- Safely transport products throughout the warehouse using an electric pallet jack
- Build, palletize, and shrink-wrap orders for shipment
- Maintain productivity, accuracy, quality, and safety standards
- Report inventory discrepancies, damaged or spoiled products, location changes, and out-of-stock items
- Assist other warehouse departments as needed during peak workloads
- Follow all warehouse safety, HACCP, and Safe Quality Food (SQF) policies and procedures
What We're Looking For
- Previous warehouse or physical labor experience
- Electric pallet jack or reach lift experience
- Understanding of warehouse safety guidelines and basic RF system functions preferred
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to lift 60+ pounds continuously
- Ability to understand and follow selection procedures and verbal instructions
- Ability to work safely and use good judgment with limited direct supervision
- A dependable, team-oriented attitude
- Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available.

Compensation:
UNFI anticipates paying the above-referenced pay rate (or within the above-referenced pay range) for this position. Actual Pay, where applicable, will depend on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, education, experience, training, and any requirements under applicable collective bargaining agreements. Sales Positions Only: For sales positions that are commission-based, the above range is an estimate of total potential commission-based compensation during an associate’s first year, but UNFI offers an introductory period minimum of $680 per week. After the introductory period, as a 100% commission-based role, there is no set salary. UNFI’s commission plans are uncapped and average earnings vary depending on territory and sales achieved, among other factors.
