Position: Coordinator, Supplier Relation Management Services

Annual Salary: $42,000 - $50,000

Purpose:

This role is responsible for a wide variety of projects and activities as it relates to the Supplier Relationship Management team. Responsible for facilitating retained income revenue and promotional activities from a variety of income sources – Incentives, GAP Recovery, Marketing Programs, etc. Establishes professional working relationships with internal and external customers in order to provide insights and guidance to facilitate retained income revenue opportunities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Establishes, facilitates and provides analytical insights to the Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) team as it relates to promotional and marketing vehicles. Insights provide guidance that enables the SRM to target opportunities for promotional and/or marketing revenue.
  • Recommends analytical solutions that enable a more complete understanding of customer’s promotional behaviour within or across selected channels, markets and programs. Insights will provide SRM the ability to target key suppliers that fit the business need based on these promotional behaviours.
  • Manages multiple email inboxes; responds to all inquiries with vendors, suppliers and other key stakeholders.
  • Facilitates negotiations/implementation of programs to achieve retained income.
  • Works with SRM team to create/develop/deploy reports/tools to support the SRM team. Uses and prepares Excel spreadsheets and documents related to pricing, item assortment, etc. for SRM team.
  • Develop/Maintain user documentation/training on all tasks/responsibilities.
  • Develops/Maintains accurate tracking/reporting for work-related tasks.
  • Develops/Maintains strong working relationships with both internal and external customers.
  • Interacts with other departments to address issues, requests and questions.
  • Executes promotional events on behalf of suppliers and brokers.
  • Actively participates in Trade Shows (event set up, registration, tear down, etc.)
  • Stays current with technology/new trends.
  • Develop Reporting as needed/requested.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Additional Requirements:

  • Travel to Trade Shows required.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification(s):

  • Post Secondary Education in Business, Marketing, or a related field or equivalent combination of experience and training.

Experience (Required/Preferred):

  • Previous experience in a professional and busy office environment, within a related field desired.

Required Knowledge:

  • Knowledge and thorough understanding of company products and services.
  • Strong understanding of promotional elements, customer motivations, marketing functions, procedures, and standards.
  • Strong customer service skills.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of MS Office applications and necessary functions to capture, execute, and translate data.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Able to translate data into meaningful and actionable recommendations.
  • Able to negotiate deals.

Sales Positions Only: For sales positions that are commission-based, the above range is an estimate of total potential commission-based compensation during an associate’s first year, but UNFI offers an introductory period minimum of $680 per week. After the introductory period, as a 100% commission-based role, there is no set salary. UNFI’s commission plans are uncapped and average earnings vary depending on territory and sales achieved, among other factors.
