Purpose: 

Conduct replenishment buying of Fresh Category items, identifying potential new items, maintaining strong and collaborative relationships with DC Sales and Fresh Category Management Teams.

Job Responsibilities:

·       Conduct inventory replenishment duties of Fresh inventory for
designated distribution center(s). 25%

·       Maintain regular communication with sales team members on new
products, sales and marketing goals, and vendor programs.15%

·       Establish a network of colleagues from each division, responsible for
the success of their respective programs, to collaborate and share best
practices.15%

·       Conduct data entry into purchasing system for pricing, promotions and
other activities.10%

·       Expand business with existing customer base and develop strong
customer partnerships to ensure the success of DC Fresh program.10%

·       For new product review and consideration, make recommendations to
Fresh Category management to improve product lines and enhance
program.25%

·       Performs other relevant job duties as required.

Job Requirements:

Education/ Certifications/or Equivalent combination of education training and experience:

·       High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

·       Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent training and experience

Experience:

·       0-3 years related experience in replenishment Buying

·       Previous direct responsibility for perishables inventory management, organics and natural products

Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities:

·       Ability to become Fresh product expert

·       Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available.

Sales Positions Only: For sales positions that are commission-based, the above range is an estimate of total potential commission-based compensation during an associate’s first year, but UNFI offers an introductory period minimum of $680 per week. After the introductory period, as a 100% commission-based role, there is no set salary. UNFI’s commission plans are uncapped and average earnings vary depending on territory and sales achieved, among other factors.
