Job Overview:

The Sr. IT RPA Engineer is primarily responsible for overseeing and guiding all RPA (Robotic Process Automation) development activities on the Automation 360 platform. This includes hands-on development and high-level strategy creation such as defining standards and frameworks and working across teams to help shape the RPA framework and execution.

Job Responsibilities:

Core Responsibilities:

Lead Framework, Governance, and Standards Development

  •        Develop, document and enforce coding standards and best practices for RPA development (error handling, logging, naming convention), including coding reviews for Quality Assurance for testing and debugging.
  •        Provides deep technical leadership for the design, development, and deployment of Automation Anywhere A360 bots, guiding a team of RPA developers through the full development lifecycle.
  •        Designs reusable automation frameworks and component libraries for common functions (such as data extraction, exception handling, integrations) to enhance scalability and maintainability.
  •        Leads Automation Anywhere control room operations, including bot scheduling, deployment, and monitoring to ensure stable and optimized production design.
  •        Acts a key member of the RPA strategy, tool governance, pipeline planning.

Manage Key Collaborator Relationships:

  •        Partners closely with business process owners to translate business requirements into automated workflows ensuring operational needs are met.
  •        Coordinates with system integration and engineering team and partners to ensure that external contributions adhere to company standards and frameworks.
  •        Liaise with the internal IT department – including infrastructure, network, and security teams – to set up and maintain the RPA environment.
  •        Coaches and mentors junior team members on automation and framework standards, including training and knowledge- sharing sessions.

Job Requirements:

Education/ Certifications:

  •        Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related.
  •        Automation Anywhere certifications, Automation Anywhere Certified Advanced RPA Professional, or Master RPA Professional.

Experience:

  •        10+ years of relevant IT experience such as software development, process automation, or system integrations.
  •        5+ years of hands-on experience in RPA development, Automation Anywhere.
  •        Preferred experience with Automation Anywhere 360 Platform.
  •        Experience with automation tools or programming/scripting language (Python, JavaScript, VBScript).
  •        Experience working with different levels of teams, such as senior leaders to junior engineers.

  •        Strong problem-solving skills.
  •        Continuous improvement skills that showcase the adaptability and maintaining knowledge of evolving RPA and AI technologies.
  •        Communication skills that demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively at different levels.
  •        Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available.

Work Environment:

Remote Role:

  •        This position is classified as remote where the associate will perform remote work from their primary residence. Remote associates are welcome to work from the office but are not required to do so. While remote associates are not required to work from an office on a regular basis, they may be required to come to the office or other UNFI locations for necessary business reasons or if directed to do so by their manager.

UNFI anticipates paying the above-referenced pay rate (or within the above-referenced pay range) for this position. Actual Pay, where applicable, will depend on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, education, experience, training, and any requirements under applicable collective bargaining agreements. Sales Positions Only: For sales positions that are commission-based, the above range is an estimate of total potential commission-based compensation during an associate’s first year, but UNFI offers an introductory period minimum of $680 per week. After the introductory period, as a 100% commission-based role, there is no set salary. UNFI’s commission plans are uncapped and average earnings vary depending on territory and sales achieved, among other factors.
