Job Overview:

Cub Lakeville South off Heritage Dr. is looking to hire a Full Time Pricing Coordinator - Lead. Pricing Coordinator tasks include: to coordinate and conduct pricing functions within the store to promote sales, achieve profit margins and labor goals, and to ensure a positive shopping experience for customers and a safe and positive working environment for associates.

Emphasis in this position is on effective coordination and implementation of store price change information to maintain necessary price controls and integrity. Timeliness and accuracy of implementation are necessary in the position. Position requires an understanding of the pricing and scanning systems, as well as, front end procedures to effectively coordinate price change information. The position supervises pricing clerks to ensure efficient labor utilization and effectiveness in meeting department objectives. Problem solving skills are necessary in resolving pricing discrepancies and may require collaboration with division and store management. The position requires on-going customer interaction, providing prompt, courteous and accurate service, social skills/verbal interaction and judgment/decision making, computer operation, walking, reading, writing and math. Position functions and work hours may vary according to business needs. Assignments and work direction provided by Store Director or person in charge.

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Ensure positive customer relations and satisfaction

  • Greet customers

  • Assist customers with product location

  • Respond to price check calls promptly

  • Assist at check out as needed

  • Coordinate and implement weekly work plan for the department

  • Assess workload and write schedules using allotted hours

  • Monitor plan-to-actual report and make adjustments to meet store demands and labor goals

  • Effectively communicate with associates about department priorities and objectives

  • Assign work to ensure completion of assigned tasks and efficient uses of hours

  • Order supplies and forms

  • Maintain a clean efficient organization of pricing office

  • Maintain equipment

  • Keep Store Director informed about pricing conditions, opportunities and provides suggestions for improvements where possible

  • Participate in weekly staff meetings as requested

  • Coordinate and performs implementation of price changes

  • Ensure that prices are accurate, timely and consistent

  • Communicate and resolve price discrepancies and scan error forms

  • Complete necessary paperwork and/or enter changes in computer systems

  • Print and apply shelf tags as required

  • Coordinate and conduct price changes

  • Verify for accuracy (price on shelf and display, returns shelf and display to regular price, updates computer files and completes necessary paperwork)

  • Ensure new items are priced accurately and all necessary data is entered into computer

  • Ensure that new items are flagged for tax, food stamps and ensures accurate description and department

  • Communicate effectively with all vendors

Job Requirements:

  • Coordinate and performs proper signage

  • Ensure price accuracy and integrity

  • Maintain point-of-sale standards

  • Coordinate and conduct verification of prices on an ongoing basis using verification equipment and audits

  • Inform Division personnel of potential pricing errors or inconsistencies

Perform personnel functions within the department

  • Monitors department staffing and makes hiring recommendations

  • Train department personnel in proper techniques and procedures

  • Conduct probationary and regular performance review

  • Ensure associates know and follow store and department policies and procedures

  • Recommend and administer corrective actions as appropriate; seek direction from Store Director and Human Resources, as required

Interaction and memorization

  • Assist in monitoring and managing safety and loss prevention efforts

  • Ensure associates know and observe the store’s safety rules

  • Monitor and train associates in proper use of equipment, maintenance and sanitation standards, proper lifting techniques and other related safe work practices

  • Report all accidents to store management promptly or completes incident reports in their absence

  • Observe department conditions and ensure prompt resolution of potentially hazardous situations

  • Maintain pricing integrity and confidentiality as required

  • Follow all store and department policies and procedures

Physical Requirements:  

  • Lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs.  

  • Walking on uneven ground  

  • Reaching, bending, turning, repetitive motions  

Schedule:  

  • Varied weekly shifts 

  • Weekends are required

Sales Positions Only: For sales positions that are commission-based, the above range is an estimate of total potential commission-based compensation during an associate’s first year, but UNFI offers an introductory period minimum of $680 per week. After the introductory period, as a 100% commission-based role, there is no set salary. UNFI’s commission plans are uncapped and average earnings vary depending on territory and sales achieved, among other factors.
