OVERVIEW
NEW STARTING PAY: $31.65 /hour
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday
Work Hours: 7:00am start time, negotiable

PURPOSE
Repairs and performs preventative maintenance on trailers, tractors and yard tractors at the DC. Responsible for diagnosing and repairing medium to heavy-duty refrigerated trucks and trailers under minimal supervision.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs
- Air and hydraulic brake repairs
- Tire repairs
- Warranty procedures
- Driveline, steering, and suspension maintenance
- Electrical troubleshooting
- Ability to diagnose and repair lift gates, AC, weld and fabricate as needed, and other duties as assigned
- Assist other mechanics in repairs and will be expected to comply with safety and EPA procedures
- Willing to continue to learn additional mechanical duties such as advanced diagnostics, internal engine and transmission repairs

Job Requirements
- 21 years of age or older required
- Valid Driver’s license required
- 2 years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair
- Experience with refrigeration units required
Job Skills
- Must be able to read codes and instructions on the computer
- Must be able to document repairs on the computer
- Must possess at minimum a set of hand tools up to (3/4")
- Ability to work flexible schedules including shift work, weekends, holidays and on-call rotations for roadside assistance

Sales Positions Only: For sales positions that are commission-based, the above range is an estimate of total potential commission-based compensation during an associate’s first year, but UNFI offers an introductory period minimum of $680 per week. After the introductory period, as a 100% commission-based role, there is no set salary. UNFI’s commission plans are uncapped and average earnings vary depending on territory and sales achieved, among other factors.
