PURPOSE:

  • Responsible for the scheduling and follow-through of PO's to be picked up by the driver. Includes direct communication with vendors, buyers, dispatchers, and drivers to ensure completion.

REGULAR WORK SCHEDULE:

  • Sunday- Thursday: 8:00am to 4:30pm

JOB REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Detail oriented, good organizational skills
  • Capable of maintaining written records and completing required forms in a timely manner
  • Ability to build a solid and accurate pallet count
  • Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities:
  • Understanding of Safety guidelines

POSITION 

  • Ability to communicate and work well with others
  • Astute, close attention to detail
  • Should understand TMS and all applicable functions
  • Should have strong knowledge of routes and all transportation procedures

PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT/ DEMANDS:

  • Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment
  • Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at desk or computer terminal
  • While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to sit; use hands to type, grasp and for fine manipulation; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear
  • Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephone, and other office equipment during normal workday
  • Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in completion of job duties
  • Exposed to temperatures on rare occasions ranging from -20 degrees to 35 degrees Fahrenheit in Perishable Operation and 37 degrees to 90 degrees Fahrenheit in Grocery Operation
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus

Sales Positions Only: For sales positions that are commission-based, the above range is an estimate of total potential commission-based compensation during an associate’s first year, but UNFI offers an introductory period minimum of $680 per week. After the introductory period, as a 100% commission-based role, there is no set salary. UNFI’s commission plans are uncapped and average earnings vary depending on territory and sales achieved, among other factors.
