Job Description:

  • Lead UNFI network architecture and design efforts to meet the platform and product team requirements while aligning to UNFI Infrastructure and security standards.
  • Research new network solutions, execute POC’s and feasibility studies to validate next-gen product concepts and technologies leveraging results to guide business and technology decisions.
  • Lead complex network architecture requirements analysis to convert platform, security, and business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Apply knowledge base technical expertise in decision making and in the resolution of problems which are highly complex and technical in nature.
  • Act as a technical subject matter expert in the resolution of outages or high priority incidents.
  • Define, create and update UNFI network & security standards and ensure that the network is deployed to these standards.
  • Automate the deployment, configuration and maintenance of network configuration and virtual platforms.
  • Develop infrastructure as code to meet the needs of our platforms and products.
  • Serve as Network SME for the team and help grow others knowledge in that space.
  • Create and maintain functional / technical design specifications and solutions to satisfy project requirements.
  • Create simple, repetitive deployment processes that increase both velocity and quality.

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or closely related field plus at least 6 years of experience in job offered or any developer/engineer/networks related job titles.
  • Applicants must possess at least 6 years of experience in the following:
  • (1) internet routing protocols and concepts including IPv4 and/or IPv6 protocols;
  • (2) Cisco network operating systems, Cisco IOS and NXOS;
  • (3) recommending, designing, implementing, and maintaining Cisco network and Cisco security solutions;
  • (4) designing and deploying network security technologies
  • (5) core network services including DNS, DHCP, IPAM, and NTP;
  • (6) designing and implementing encryption protocols including DMVPN, IPSec, TLS;
  • (7) architecting and designing for Security Constraints, Resiliency, Fault, Tolerance, and Scalability in context of hybrid network architectures. 
  • Will accept a single degree or any combination of degrees or diplomas as determined by a qualified credential service to be equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or closely related field.

100% telework required.

0-10% domestic travel required.

Compensation for role: $162,282/year

Compensation:

UNFI anticipates paying the above-referenced pay rate (or within the above-referenced pay range) for this position. Actual Pay, where applicable, will depend on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, education, experience, training, and any requirements under applicable collective bargaining agreements. Sales Positions Only: For sales positions that are commission-based, the above range is an estimate of total potential commission-based compensation during an associate’s first year, but UNFI offers an introductory period minimum of $680 per week. After the introductory period, as a 100% commission-based role, there is no set salary. UNFI’s commission plans are uncapped and average earnings vary depending on territory and sales achieved, among other factors.
