We connect farms to families. And now, you can be a part of that. As a Warehouse Operations Manager you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the shipping/receiving activities of the Warehouse.

Enforcing productivity and quality rates, reviews/pay adjustments, ETime (payroll), and any other related issues to ensure that the daily workload is completed efficiently and accurately. Responsible for keeping the shift staffed and disciplined at a level where the work will be completed in an efficient manner. Ensure Warehouse operations are in accordance with established procedures and policies. Keeps management well informed of significant problems and area activities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:

·       Manages the day-to day activities surrounding inbound, inventory control, AND/OR outbound warehouse operations

·       Monitors, research, and implements solutions regarding issues related to damaged product, mis-shipped product, and missing product

·       Assumes responsibility for the maintenance of Warehouse facilities. Ensures that both the inside and outside of the facilities are clean and orderly

·       Works to develop and maintain productive business relations with internal and external customers

·       Provides leadership to direct reports while focusing on process improvements and creating a high-performance supervisory team

·       Manages labor needs to ensure business needs are met in an efficient manner

·       Fosters positive employee relations, while ensuring Company vision and mission are active

·       Manages performance of direct reports and ensuring accountability at all levels within dept. Ensures operations meet or exceed Company metrics

·       Partners with Human Resources to find and retain talent

·       Ensures all company policies are followed and implements proper solutions when needed

·       Maintains or develops reports to understand the state of operations, or where to make improvements 

·       Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available.

QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

·       Bachelor’s degree in business or related field

·       Additional related facility management training preferred

 EXPERIENCE:

·       Five or more years of related experience, with at least two or more years of supervisory experience

·       3 – 5 years warehouse management and/or logistics management experience in a complex, service-driven organization

·       Experience in shipping/receiving is preferred

·       System Implementation Preferred

 KNOWLEDGE:

·       Must have strong knowledge of all warehouse procedures and functions

·       Knowledge of budgeting, supply contracts, and shipping requirements

 SKILLS/ABILITIES:

·       Keen eye for quality; detail oriented with excellent analytical skills

·       Able to organize, coordinate, and direct team activities

·       Strong problem-solving skills

·       Strong communication skills and ability to motivate

·       Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Applications, Word, Excel, PowerPoint

·       Ability to understand Accounting, HR and Payroll activities/practices

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Onsite Role:  

·       This position requires the associate to perform all duties at one of our UNFI locations, such as a distribution center or office. 

Warehouse Roles: 

·      Abilityto lift up to 75 pounds andto stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, and turn frequently.    

·       Exposed to temperatures ranging from -20 degrees below zero to 35 degrees Fahrenheit in Perishable Operation and 37 degrees to 90 degrees Fahrenheit in Grocery Operation.  

·       Ability to do repetitious arm, wrist, and hand movements required for maintenance and service procedures.    

·       Must be able to work with hands and arms overhead, and to work in or under the equipment.    

·       Requires manual dexterity, overall coordination, and good balance to work both at ground level and in high places to perform job duties.  Ability to operate work-related equipment.  

·       Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Después del periodo inicial, por tratarse de un puesto basado totalmente en comisiones, no hay un salario fijo. Los planes de comisiones de UNFI no tienen tope y las ganancias promedio dependen del territorio y de las ventas logradas, entre otros factores.
