Job Overview:

The Program Coordinator-Store Operations role is responsible for the execution of specialized tasks and functions related to UNFI Retail Technology products and services. This role is responsible for executing all processes and procedures, learning all aspects of the business including processing vendor invoices, billing customers, managing data, communicating with retailers and the vendor community, creating reports and financial responsibilities. This role will work directly with the program manager, department director and cross-functionally, with all areas of the company, as well as externally. This role will be responsible for keeping the Retail Technology (RT) Product Portfolio modern and current and distributing it monthly. This role will have a function in vetting and coordinating meetings with new vendors and maintaining existing relationships.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with the Retail Technology Consultants (RTC) team for onboarding and training process for new retailers and facilitates training and introductions for new and existing RT products

  • Monitors retailer’s engagement with RT products, analyzes reports and provides feedback to retailer ownership team and RTC team

  • Delivers clear communication on new updates and functionality on all RT products

  • Builds rapport with customers through interpersonal skills; confidently converse with and make recommendations to customers and SMEs at all levels of an organization

  • Seeks out and solicits new sales opportunities using materials developed by the marketing team and RT department

  • Assists with coordinating meetings with new vendors and maintaining existing relationships.

  • Tracks new vendor and product onboarding and legal processes

  • Facilitates demos and presentation of existing and future products for RTC team and Program Manager

  • Uses CRM to track opportunities after events such as expos, webinars and other marketing campaigns

  • Provides input to the evolution of team processes, procedures, and best practices

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Education/ Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of experience and training

Experience:

  • Two (2) or more years business, customer service, associate training, financial or related experience

  • Two (2) or more years’ experience in the retail grocery industry strongly preferred

Knowledge/Skills/ Abilities

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately enter, review, and manage information into multiple systems

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present confidence and credibility

  • Customer-focused mindset with strong interpersonal and relationship building skills

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to understand how processes, inputs, and decisions impact business outcomes

  • Strong customer service and communication skills to handle escalated questions and inquiries

  • Ability to create credibility with our customers and business partners, internally and externally to solve problems and meet goals and objectives

  • Flexible and adaptable to learning new technologies and evolving business needs

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word required

  • Experience using CRM systems and SharePoint preferred

  • Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available.

Work Environment:

Remote Role:

  • This position is classified as remote where the associate will perform remote work from their primary residence. Remote associates are welcome to work from the office but are not required to do so. While remote associates are not required to work from an office on a regular basis, they may be required to come to the office or other UNFI locations for necessary business reasons or if directed to do so by their manager.

Travel (minor):

  • This position may require the associate to travel to company offices, distribution centers, or other locations for specific meetings or other business reasons.

  • Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at a desk or computer terminal.

  • Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephones, and other office equipment in the course of a normal workday.

  • Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in the completion of job duties.

Solamente puestos de Ventas: en el caso de los puestos de ventas con base en comisiones, el rango mencionado representa un estimado de la compensación potencial por comisiones durante el primer año de un asociado; pero UNFI ofrece un mínimo de $680 a la semana para el periodo inicial. Después del periodo inicial, por tratarse de un puesto basado totalmente en comisiones, no hay un salario fijo. Los planes de comisiones de UNFI no tienen tope y las ganancias promedio dependen del territorio y de las ventas logradas, entre otros factores.
