Job Overview:
The Pricing Analyst strategically analyzes pricing data to provide retail price suggestions and execute pricing strategies to retailers to grow profits for our customers. This role evaluates and analyzes retail data to make recommendations for new and current item pricing, identify discrepancies, and create solutions to pricing issues. This role helps retailers understand the impact of pricing decisions on their business and sells pricing services to retailers.
Job Responsibilities:
Extract data from databases to develop and review customer pricing models for assigned categories.
Maintains the category and marketplace review schedule for assigned divisions and schedules reviews (weekly).
Develops planning scenarios for approval by category managers. Monitors performance of key items compared to forecasted results.
Inputs category roles, item strategies, financial objectives, and price images into the pricing system.
Create analysis/reports, such as Going in Gross reports and Warehouse Movement reports, for retailers, account managers, and pricing managers.
First point of contact for incoming retail calls and troubleshooting issues as needed.
Review system generated cost changes for accuracy and alignment, and review new items based on marketplace competition.
Ability to review and analyze large, complex data sets to execute pricing strategies that directly impact a retailer’s profitability.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Education/ Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience.
Experience:
1-2 years of related experience.
Knowledge/Skills/ Abilities:
Proficiency with Excel, Word, and other office suite products.
Understanding of the dynamics of price elasticity and consumer price perception.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
Ability to work independently
Understanding merchandising terminology.

Good judgement is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available.
Work Environment:
Remote Role:
This position is classified as remote where the associate will perform remote work from their primary residence. Remote associates are welcome to work from the office but are not required to do so. While remote associates are not required to work from an office on a regular basis, they may be required to come to the office or other UNFI locations for necessary business reasons or if directed to do so by their manager.
Travel (Minor)
This position may require the associate to travel to company offices, distribution centers, or other locations for specific meetings or other business reasons.

Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment.
Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at a desk or computer terminal.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephones, and other office equipment in the course of a normal workday.
Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in the completion of job duties.

Solamente puestos de Ventas: en el caso de los puestos de ventas con base en comisiones, el rango mencionado representa un estimado de la compensación potencial por comisiones durante el primer año de un asociado; pero UNFI ofrece un mínimo de $680 a la semana para el periodo inicial. Después del periodo inicial, por tratarse de un puesto basado totalmente en comisiones, no hay un salario fijo. Los planes de comisiones de UNFI no tienen tope y las ganancias promedio dependen del territorio y de las ventas logradas, entre otros factores.
