What does it mean to be a part of the UNFI Warehouse team?

As part of the Overnight Warehouse team, you will support the accurate receipt, storage, and staging of product within the distribution center. You will work closely with inventory teams and supervisors to maintain inventory accuracy, comply with food safety requirements, and ensure safe, efficient warehouse operations.

Schedule:

·         Overnight shifts available

·         Monday – Friday

·         Start times: 11:00 PM or 12:00 AM

·         8-hour shifts with overtime during high-volume periods

Essential Functions:

·         Verify quantities of product received against packing slips or purchase orders

·         Inspect inbound freight for damage caused by handling, travel, or refrigeration

·         Build, wrap, and stage pallets for reserve or backstock storage

·         Ensure product is accurately labeled and staged for put-away

·         Use RF equipment and warehouse systems to scan and record inventory

·         Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

·         Inspect equipment and operate safely and efficiently

·         Perform duties in accordance with HACCP and SQF policies

·         Operate reach lift or forklift equipment to store and retrieve product from high rack locations

·         Replenish pick slots and complete knockdowns as needed

·         Maintain accurate inventory counts and report discrepancies

·         Remove empty pallets from aisles and pick locations

·         Separate and stage pallets according to pallet guidelines

·         Report safety concerns or policy violations immediately

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

·         Understanding of warehouse and safety guidelines

·         Ability to follow receiving and inventory procedures

·         Ability to read and interpret bills of lading and packing lists

·         Strong attention to detail and accuracy

·         Ability to work overtime as required

·         Previous forklift or reach lift experience preferred

Job Requirements:

·         Ability to lift up to 75 pounds

·         Must be 18 years or older

·         Frequent standing, walking, bending, twisting, and reaching

·         Exposure to temperatures ranging from -20°F to 90°F depending on department

·         Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment

·         Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available
