Job Overview:

Responsible for the logistical coordination of all purchase orders applying to the assigned lanes, consolidation distribution centers, and carriers for this position. This position acts as the single point of contact between UNFI Replenishment, UNFI Operations, and 3PL Partners (Carriers) to achieve the highest quality of logistics performance and service level expectations at the optimal cost. This includes all coordination and communication from product pick up to final destination while balancing freight costs, monitoring transit times, and internal operations schedules.

Job Responsibilities:

•    Works directly with Cross Dock Coordinators to ensure efficient operational execution.
•    Identify delays/opportunities and hosts meeting/calls with local teams to correct.
•    Understanding of dispatch issues and procedures including West Coast to East Region consolidation loads.
•    Track and trace UNFI Cross Dock orders based on their future lost sales.
•    Able to promptly identify expense reduction opportunities, and can articulate to members in management to             address.
•    Promptly identify service opportunities, and articulate to members in management to address.
•    Fluent in all TMS/UNFI related supply chain reporting and metrics.
•    Responsible for interpreting and recommending solutions
•    Actively participate in transportation planning and carrier performance meeting.
•    Consistent mastery exhibition of Freight Coordinator I essential functions and basic duties.
•    Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Education/ Certifications:

•    Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred or equivalent experience.

Experience:

•    Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred or equivalent experience.
•    Previous procurement, logistics, or transportation experience.

Knowledge/Skills/ Abilities:

•    Demonstrated knowledge of applicable Warehouse Management Systems functions, and Transportation                     Management Systems 
•    Understanding of dispatch issues and procedures including West Coast to East Region consolidation loads 
•    Efficient service level, on time metrics, and freight cost metrics 
•    Core understanding of the Master Scheduling Teams role in the Supply Chain 
•    Excellent working relationships and coordination with internal and external business partners 
•    Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be                       immediately available.

Remote Role:

•    This position is classified as remote, where the associate will perform remote work from their primary residence. Remote associates are welcome to work from the office but are not required to do so. While remote associates are not required to work from an office regularly, they may be required to come to the office or other UNFI locations for necessary business reasons or if directed to do so by their manager.

Solamente puestos de Ventas: en el caso de los puestos de ventas con base en comisiones, el rango mencionado representa un estimado de la compensación potencial por comisiones durante el primer año de un asociado; pero UNFI ofrece un mínimo de $680 a la semana para el periodo inicial. Después del periodo inicial, por tratarse de un puesto basado totalmente en comisiones, no hay un salario fijo. Los planes de comisiones de UNFI no tienen tope y las ganancias promedio dependen del territorio y de las ventas logradas, entre otros factores.
