PURPOSE: 
The District Asset Protection Manager is responsible for the design and implementation of strategic programs that provide a safe environment for customers and associates, protect company assets, and manage shrink to acceptable levels.  This is accomplished by using a data-focused, analytical approach, ensuring Asset Protection and security policies are followed to protect associates as well as managing shrink due to theft, fraud, damage resulting from carelessness or disregard through use of policies and technology, and existing resources.  This position will conduct investigations and resolve all internal and vendor theft or fraud.  This position will be responsible for conducting training with store associates on shrink prevention and ethical compliance. 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  
Job Responsibilities Percentage
Reduce shrink in assigned stores through internal theft investigations, creating an environment in the stores where honesty is valued and theft is not tolerated.  This will be done through review of inventory and shrink reports to analyze and reduce trends. 20%
Reduce shrink in assigned stores through a strong inspection program where associates are re-trained in areas of opportunity and where repeat failures result in corrective actions taken. 20%
Reduce shrink in assigned stores through a robust training program where associates at all levels are taught how to control and reduce shrink in their respective areas. 20%
Respond to store incidents quickly and thoroughly, leaving the impression of partnership and professional response. 10%
Make recommendations to Asset Protecion leadership on product protection initiatives used commonly throughout the industry. 10%
Work closely with ORC team to identify and resolve repeat shoplift incidents in assigned stores. 10%
Communicate wins to both Asset Protection and operational partners in a professional, consistent manner. 10%

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education/ Certifications/or Equivalent combination of education training and experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or 3 years multistore asset protection experience required
• Wicklander/Zulawski Interview and Interrogation certification required
• LP Foundation LPC certification preferred
• Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available.
Experience: 
• At least 2 years in a management role preferred
• Experience in investigation/report writing required 
• At least 2 years of investigation/interview experience required
Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities:
• Ability to identify trends in shrink through analytics of data

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Skilled with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT/DEMANDS: 
• Travel 50% - 80% required, occasional over-night trips.
• Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment.
• Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at a desk or computer terminal.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.  
• Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephones, and other office equipment in the course of a normal workday.
• Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in the completion of job duties.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Solamente puestos de Ventas: en el caso de los puestos de ventas con base en comisiones, el rango mencionado representa un estimado de la compensación potencial por comisiones durante el primer año de un asociado; pero UNFI ofrece un mínimo de $680 a la semana para el periodo inicial. Después del periodo inicial, por tratarse de un puesto basado totalmente en comisiones, no hay un salario fijo. Los planes de comisiones de UNFI no tienen tope y las ganancias promedio dependen del territorio y de las ventas logradas, entre otros factores.
