Job Overview:
Manages the Regions activities involving marketing, implementation, training and support of UNFI technology solutions for independent retail customers while achieving committed sales and profit goals. Provides a focal point for the management of Retail business technology planning and the implementation in coordination with other Regional organizations, outside resources, and the non-corporate retail customers across the Region.

Job Responsibilities:
· Accountable for marketing, implementing, and training, for Retail Technology solutions which have a direct impact on achieving Regional sales
· Operates under Professional Services budgets and marketing strategies within corporate guidelines to attain
· Regional business goals and improves wholesale food performance
· Initiates and maintains contact with retailers to proactively evaluate the performance of the UNFI preferred retail technology products while also measuring the effectiveness of the implementation, training and support services
· Develops solutions for issues identified and then initiates corrective actions to improve the overall effectiveness of these processes
· Establishes individual retailer technology business plans with Regional Marketing and Category Management to attain UNFI Regional goals that improve Wholesale food profit performance, increased retailer participation, and improved retailer profitability
· Directs the on-site customer support when required for R/S product offerings. Coordinates the hardware/software maintenance process for all R/S products installed at retail throughout the select regional service providers
· Monitors service performance, keeps abreast of developments, and takes corrective/appropriate actions when required
· Adheres to Region/Corporate policies for Retailer equipment purchasing and Region capital purchases. Monitors key technology strategies and offerings of competitive wholesalers, retailers, and service providers
· Compiles information and data from various sources for specific departmental reports, and creates reports, graphs and data comparisons
· Posts records and processes departmental documents requiring specific knowledge of functional area. Responds to inquiries that require specialized knowledge of the function to respond
· Works without direct supervision, potentially self-guided for a week or more without additional instruction. Analyzes and develops major projects and carries projects through to completion. Researches and interprets a variety of levels of information
· Performs other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
Education/ Certifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required, a degree in Business, Marketing or similar quantitative field preferred
Experience:
· Minimum five to seven years of experience in Merchandising, Marketing or Logistics in retail or wholesale
· Organizational and Project Management experience a plus
· Supervisory or team leadership experience a plus
Knowledge:
· Financial, mathematical, statistical, marketing and/or merchandising background to read, interpret, and understand how internal and external factors influence financial results
Skills/ Abilities:
· Ability to transfer knowledge to retail teams for implementation at store level
· Possess a high degree of self-management, problem solving and analytical ability. Must have ability to interact across various teams to work in cooperation with others to achieve desired results
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills to develop and maintain effective business relationships within and outside of the Company
· Must have the ability to represent the Company’s interests to outside professionals and vendors
· Advanced computer skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Data Warehouse/Ad Hoc/Nielsen experience preferred but not required
· Strong math and analytical skills
· Possess the ability to analyze, interpret and create a plan of action on issues, ideas or ways to build sales within the organization
· Ability to focus on the needs of both internal and external customers
· Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available.
Work Environment:
Remote Role:
· This position is classified as remote where the associate will perform remote work from their primary residence. Remote associates are welcome to work from the office but are not required to do so. While remote associates are not required to work from an office on a regular basis, they may be required to come to the office or other UNFI locations for necessary business reasons or if directed to do so by their manager.
Travel (minor):
· This position may require the associate to travel to company offices, distribution centers, or other locations for specific meetings or other business reasons.

Solamente puestos de Ventas: en el caso de los puestos de ventas con base en comisiones, el rango mencionado representa un estimado de la compensación potencial por comisiones durante el primer año de un asociado; pero UNFI ofrece un mínimo de $680 a la semana para el periodo inicial. Después del periodo inicial, por tratarse de un puesto basado totalmente en comisiones, no hay un salario fijo. Los planes de comisiones de UNFI no tienen tope y las ganancias promedio dependen del territorio y de las ventas logradas, entre otros factores.
