Job Overview:

The Manager Consolidation Operations is responsible for leading critical areas including the annual budget, periodic forecasts, month-end close cycle, and Board of Director reporting cycles. This role will also drive key initiatives such as improving existing FP&A processes, leveraging new systems to drive process improvements, and developing strategies to enhance the value Corporate FP&A brings to the organization.

We need to ensure that our financial analysis and statements revolve around constant communication with our partners within the organization as well as outside to provide the most current statistics for our business health. By being attentive to details, trends, and inefficiencies, and communicating with our teams, you’ll be key to our success and continued growth as North America’s premier grocery wholesaler.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the annual budget and periodic forecast processes.

  • Lead the monthly close process including analysis, consolidation, and reporting.

  • Develop and manage reports that provide key insights for the senior leadership team.

  • Develop templates, schedules and timelines used by all company Business Units ensuring consistency and accuracy.

  • Work with Accounting and Business Unit FP&A teams to be progressive in delivering faster results, improving accuracy and with greater quality with each iteration.

  • Business partner to several key corporate functional areas.

  • Analyze, question and present financial information to company leadership team.

  • Manage the Corporate FP&A SharePoint site owning the content and security.

  • Execute on special projects timely and accurately as assigned.

  • Document and improve Corporate FP&A processes.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Education/ Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.

Experience:

  • 3-7 years of experience in financial and/or business analytic position.

  • Budgeting and forecasting experience necessary.

  • Business Implementation experience preferred.

  • System Implementation experience preferred.

  • Demonstrated success in business partnership as well as leading and delivering solutions to complex business opportunities.

  • Supply Chain Inbound Logistics experience preferred, but not required.

  • TMS, Oracle EPM, PowerBI experience preferred, but not required.

Knowledge/Skills/ Abilities:

  • Outstanding analytical skills (numerical, verbal).

  • Strong Strategic Planning, Financial and Operations / Business Background. Not purely financial background required.

  • Strong business acumen.

  • Financial modeling and analytic experience.

  • Project Management experience is bonus.

  • Must be self-driven and very motivated.

  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and working with constantly changing priorities.

  • Leads and directs the work of others across the company, without direct organizational line of authority.

  • Strong administrative, organizational and relationship skills.

  • Excellent writing and communication skills are required.

  • Position also requires strong interpersonal skills, discretion, diplomacy, and judgment.

  • Strong teamwork ethic, positive proactive flexible attitude ability to take complete ownership of responsibilities.

  • Ability to work under pressure and time constraints as well as handle a number of tasks simultaneously required.

  • Advanced skillset in Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access and related software applications.

Work Environment:

Remote Role:

  • This position is classified as remote where the associate will perform remote work from their primary residence. Remote associates are welcome to work from the office but are not required to do so. While remote associates are not required to work from an office on a regular basis, they may be required to come to the office or other UNFI locations for necessary business reasons or if directed to do so by their manager.

Travel (minor):

  • This position may require the associate to travel to company offices, distribution centers, or other locations for specific meetings or other business reasons.
