Job Overview:

Cub Willmar is looking tor a dedicated individual to fill a Full Time Grocery Manager position! The Grocery Manager is responsible to plan and manage the Grocery Department to promote sales and achieve profit margins and labor goals; ensure a positive shopping experience for customers, and a safe and positive working environment for associates. 

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist Customers and ensure proper service levels from all associates

• Develop effective daily/weekly work plan based on sales projections

• Implements and maintains merchandising plans, using Division guidelines

• Ensure accurate pricing and signage within the department

• Supervise, train and develop Grocery associates to ensure completion of assigned tasks and efficient uses of man hours

• Manage receiving, invoicing, pricing, shrink control and inventory to ensure proper product control

• Supervise department safety and sanitation programs

• Perform other duties as assigned 
   

Job Requirements:

• Business Acumen

• Drive for results with strong customer focus

• Equipment operation (hand jack, power jack, box cutter, flat bed, compactor)

• Must be able to work shifts varying in length and time, including nights, weekends and holidays

• Must be 18 years old

• Good judgment as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available 
   
   

Physical Requirements:

• Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled retail store environment. 

• Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at a desk or computer terminal. 

• The employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.  

• Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephones, and other office equipment in the course of a normal workday.

• Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in the completion of job duties. 

• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, and turn frequently.

• Exposed to temperatures ranging from -20 degrees below zero to 35 degrees Fahrenheit in Perishable Operation and 37 degrees to 90 degrees Fahrenheit in Grocery Operation.

• Ability to do repetitious arm, wrist, and hand movements required for maintenance and service procedures.

• Requires manual dexterity, overall coordination, and good balance to work both at ground level and in high places to perform job duties.  Ability to operate work-related equipment.
