What does it mean to be a part of the FLEX Order Selection team?
In this fast-paced role, you are the boots on the ground and responsible for accurately and efficiently pulling customer orders within the warehouse. This role requires strategic thinking and attention to detail while palletizing orders and ensuring they are placed in the correct assigned locations. You will operate motorized equipment including Electric Pallet Jacks while ensuring that you safely and accurately move product within the warehouse. Pay & Schedule:
- 9:30AM- 6:00PM
- Must work Sunday- Pick from available days after training (Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday)
- Must be able to train for 2 weeks (Monday- Friday 1st week, Sunday- Thursday 2nd week)
- Starting wage $22.75/hour with a pay increase upon 2 consecutive weeks of hitting productivity
- $2.00/hr for Weekends
- $2.00/hr for Freezer environment (if applicable)
Job Responsibilities:
- Counts, sorts and verifies product descriptions and store numbers of items being loaded.
- Examines pallets to ensure they are shrink wrapped correctly.
- Stores product in bins, on floor or on shelves, according to identifying information.
- Reports adjustments to inventory counts, spoilage or damage to stock, location changes, and out of stocks.
- Transports product throughout warehouse via electric pallet jack and/or forklift.
- Maintains loading performance standards of speed and accuracy with minimum damage and maximum safety, while being mindful of weight distribution on the trailer.
- Assists other department personnel in the performance of work activities when peak workloads require or during absences of division personnel.
Job Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age due to equipment operation.
- Prior experience as a shipping, receiving, or stock clerk is highly desirable.
- Must be able to lift cases of various weight and sizes up to 90 pounds.
- Must be able to read labels and make decisions on properly stacking and loading product into trucks.
- Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available
Work Environment:
- Exposed to temperatures ranging from -20 degrees below zero to 35 degrees Fahrenheit in Perishable Operation and 37 degrees to 90 degrees Fahrenheit in Grocery Operation
- Ability to do repetitive arm, wrist, and hand movements required.
- Must be able to work with hands and arms overhead, and to work in or under the equipment.
- Requires manual dexterity, overall coordination and good balance to work both at ground level and in high places to perform job duties. Ability to operate work-related equipment.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Onsite Role: This position requires the associate to perform all duties at one of our UNFI locations, such as a distribution center or office.
