Cub in Blaine North is looking for dedicated Grocery Manager. As a Grocery Manager you will plan and manage the Grocery Department to promote sales and achieve profit margins and labor goals; ensure a positive shopping experience for customers, and a safe and positive working environment for associates.
Job Responsibilities:
Assist Customers and ensure proper service levels from all associates
Develop effective daily/weekly work plan based on sales projections
Implements and maintains merchandising plans, using Division guidelines
Ensure accurate pricing and signage within the department
Supervise, train and develop Grocery associates to ensure completion of assigned tasks and efficient uses of man hours
Manage receiving, invoicing, pricing, shrink control and inventory to ensure proper product control
Supervise department safety and sanitation programs
Perform other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
Business Acumen
Drive for results with strong customer focus
Equipment operation (hand jack, power jack, box cutter, flat bed, compactor)
Must be able to work shifts varying in length and time, including nights, weekends and holidays
Must be 18 years old
Good judgment as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available
Physical Requirements:
Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled retail store environment.
Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at a desk or computer terminal.
The employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephones, and other office equipment in the course of a normal workday.
Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in the completion of job duties.
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, and turn frequently.
Exposed to temperatures ranging from -20 degrees below zero to 35 degrees Fahrenheit in Perishable Operation and 37 degrees to 90 degrees Fahrenheit in Grocery Operation.
Ability to do repetitious arm, wrist, and hand movements required for maintenance and service procedures.

Requires manual dexterity, overall coordination, and good balance to work both at ground level and in high places to perform job duties. Ability to operate work-related equipment.

Compensation:
UNFI anticipates paying the above-referenced pay rate (or within the above-referenced pay range) for this position. Actual Pay, where applicable, will depend on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, education, experience, training, and any requirements under applicable collective bargaining agreements. Sales Positions Only: For sales positions that are commission-based, the above range is an estimate of total potential commission-based compensation during an associate’s first year, but UNFI offers an introductory period minimum of $680 per week. After the introductory period, as a 100% commission-based role, there is no set salary. UNFI’s commission plans are uncapped and average earnings vary depending on territory and sales achieved, among other factors.
